Essential Omega 3 Fatty Acids are a family of fatty acids that are polyunsaturated.

Three such fats make up the omega-3s:

  • ALA (alpha-linolenic acid),
  • EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and
  • DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).
